Plitvice Lakes National Park – Croatia
Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. Established in 1949, it’s located in the mountainous region of central Croatia, between the Mala Kapela mountain range to the west and northwest, and the Lička Plješivica mountain range to the southeast. The park is famed for its chain of 16 interconnected lakes, all cascading into each other via a network of waterfalls.
